Privacy Policy — Economic Fury
Last updated: 23 May 2026
1. Summary
Economic Fury (the “Game”) is developed and operated by Ebrahim Bararian, doing business as BitBuddy Labs, based in Berlin, Germany. We try to collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains what data the Game and its supporting services collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
2. Who we are and how to contact us
The controller responsible for processing your personal data in connection with the Game is:
Ebrahim Bararian (BitBuddy Labs)
Gelieustraße 7
12203 Berlin
Germany
Email: bitbuddylabs@gmail.com
For any privacy-related question, data access request, or deletion request, use the email above. See also our dedicated data deletion page.
3. Data we collect
When you play Economic Fury, the following categories of data may be collected through the Game and its third-party services:
- Account identifiers. A Unity anonymous player ID is generated on first launch so that your progress can be saved. If you choose to link your Google Play Games account (Android) or Apple Game Center account (future iOS release), the corresponding platform identifier is also stored and linked to your Unity player ID.
- Player profile. An optional display name shown on leaderboards.
- Gameplay progress. Level progression, equipment, unlocks, StraitHash balance, and other in-game state, stored locally and in Unity Cloud Save.
- Leaderboard scores. Scores submitted to Google Play Games leaderboards, along with your linked profile.
- Purchase history. Records of in-app purchases made through Google Play Billing (and Apple App Store in the future), processed by the platform store and used to grant in-game entitlements.
- Advertising data. Your mobile Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID on Android; IDFA on iOS, where applicable), ad impressions, ad clicks, and rewarded-ad completions, provided to and processed by our ad mediation partner.
- Analytics events. Gameplay events such as level starts, completions, failures, and shop interactions, used to balance and improve the Game.
- Device and diagnostic data. Device model, operating system version, language, country, app version, crash and error logs.
- Remote configuration. The Game fetches configuration values (for example, level tuning parameters) from a remote service; this fetch may transmit anonymous device and app information.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (such as health, ethnicity, religion, political opinion, or sexual orientation), and we do not ask you for your real name, postal address, or phone number.
4. How we use this data
We process the categories listed above for the following purposes:
- Providing the Game — saving your progress, synchronizing it across devices via Cloud Save, granting purchased items, showing leaderboards. (Legal basis: performance of the contract under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.)
- Showing ads — serving banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads through our mediation partner; measuring ad performance. (Legal basis: consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR for personalized ads; legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for non-personalized/contextual ads.)
- Analytics and balancing — understanding how players progress so we can tune difficulty, fix issues, and improve the Game. (Legal basis: legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.)
- Crash and error diagnostics — identifying and fixing technical problems. (Legal basis: legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.)
- Fraud, abuse, and security — detecting cheating, fraudulent purchases, and abuse of leaderboards. (Legal basis: legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.)
- Legal compliance — keeping purchase records and responding to lawful requests. (Legal basis: legal obligation under Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.)
5. Third parties we share data with
Economic Fury uses the following third-party services. Each of them processes some of your data on our behalf or as an independent controller, according to their own privacy policies:
- Unity Technologies — Unity Authentication, Unity Cloud Save, Unity Analytics, Unity Remote Config, Unity Leaderboards, and Unity LevelPlay (ad mediation, including ironSource and third-party ad networks). See unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Google LLC — Google Play Games Services (sign-in, leaderboards, friends, identity linking) and Google Play Billing (purchase processing). See policies.google.com/privacy.
- Apple Inc. — (for the future iOS release) Apple Game Center for sign-in and leaderboards, and the Apple App Store for purchase processing. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
- Ad networks operating through Unity LevelPlay — including but not limited to ironSource, Unity Ads, AdMob, and AppLovin. The full list of currently active networks is provided by Unity in the LevelPlay dashboard and can be requested via the contact email above.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with these partners only to operate the Game and the features listed in Section 4.
6. Ads and the Advertising ID
If you have not opted out of personalized advertising on your device, ad networks accessed through Unity LevelPlay may use your mobile Advertising ID to serve ads that are more relevant to you. You can reset or limit this identifier at any time:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete advertising ID” or “Reset advertising ID”.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track”.
If you purchase the “Remove Ads” in-app product, banner and interstitial ads stop being shown. Rewarded ads remain available as an opt-in feature for earning extra in-game rewards.
7. Your rights under GDPR
If the GDPR applies to you, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15) — ask what we hold about you.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16) — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17) — ask us to delete your data. See our data deletion page.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18).
- Right to data portability (Art. 20).
- Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).
- Right to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)), without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77). The competent authority for us is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
To exercise any of these rights, email bitbuddylabs@gmail.com. To help us verify your identity, please include your in-game Unity player ID where possible.
8. Children
Economic Fury is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in EU jurisdictions where that higher age applies). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to the Game, please contact us and we will delete it. Where required, the Game serves only non-personalized, contextual ads to users we identify as minors.
9. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists and the Game is in active use, plus a short retention period for backups and abuse prevention. Purchase records and tax-relevant data are kept for as long as required by German law (typically up to 10 years for accounting records under § 257 HGB and § 147 AO).
10. Security and international transfers
Personal data is transmitted in encrypted form (HTTPS/TLS). The third-party services listed in Section 5 are operated by companies that may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Those transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decisions or on Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example when we add new features or change ad partners. The current version is always available at this URL, and the “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated in the Game when reasonable.
StraitHash is virtual in-game currency only and has no real-world cash value. See our Terms of Service.
